MSF is an independent humanitarian medical aid organisation. We are committed to providing medical aid wherever it is needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender and also to raising awareness of the plight of the people we help.
In Tbilisi, MSF emergency teams are providing medical aid to those who have fled the fighting among Russians, Ossetians and Georgians in South Ossetia. They are currently offering emergency medical care to people who have found shelter in the town. MSF teams are seeing patients at a number of shelters for displaced people in Tbilisi.
